Introducing the World's Tiniest Cheetah!

On Saturday we bundled Betsy up in her Halloween costume from Aunt Attie and went on our first walk. Betsy is in fact the world's tiniest cheetah. She loved her walk--well, we think she loved it--she slept the whole time. She also met her bff-to-be Lucy Vaicius! It was quite an exciting day!

She's Not So Little Anymore!

Yesterday Betsy had an appointment with Uncle Tommy and she now weighs 7 pounds, 4 ounces--she gained 1 and a half pounds in 6 days! We were thrilled that she gained so much. Here are some pictures of Betsy from yesterday featuring her filled-out face and big ole belly.

Our Weekend

We had lots of fun with little Betsy this weekend. I feel like she's already growing up since in the past week she doesn't need me to hold her 24-7. In a big way I'm glad that I can put her down and get some things done, but in another way I feel like she doesn't need me quite as much. It's ridiculous--I know it. This weekend Betsy ate more than she has ever eaten and her face looks fuller and her belly looks bigger.

Here's Betsy and her pumpkin from Papa Vic:

Four Weeks Old

Betsy is four weeks old today. Here is a video of Betsy from the hospital when she was two days old. Her Marme and aunts and Mommy were all loving on her while she was wide awake. I feel like that video was taken yesterday and it was a month ago!

Last night Betsy had her first bath in a big girl bathtub and she loved it.

Due Date

It's hard to believe that today is Betsy's due date. I cannot imagine having had to wait a whole month longer to meet her.

Yesterday Betsy hung out in her crib with her new best friend.

Here are two pics from this morning of Betsy wearing a precious outfit from Aunt Attie:

Hangin' with the Boys

On Saturday Attie picked me up and I left my little one for the first time. We did some shopping and had lunch on Magazine. I only called home about 4 times in the 2 hours that I was gone. Betsy was in good hands though--Daddy and Uncle Beau took excellent care of her while simultaneously watching football, barbequing, and drinking beer.

Peter put together B's swing and put her in it while I was out and it was a hit!

Betsy Is Three Weeks Old

I can't believe how much time has flown since she was born. Betsy smiles all the time now--this morning she was smiling more than ever, but by the time I found the camera she was done. Yesterday I showed her a mirror and she was fascinated with her reflection; at first she seemed concerned, but soon she began to smile. Here are some pics from yesterday.

Betsy's Parade of Faces

A big apology to all of the rabid Betsy B. fans out there for not updating her blog in the past few days. Betsy has a new trick--she only wants to be held and does not want to be put down...EVER! So it's been hard to get online without typing with one hand and that is not fun. She's being a little angel right now (hope I didn't just jinx myself) so here are some pics of her and the many precious faces she makes.

The Concerned Face (which Aunt Attie says will require her to use baby Botox):

Betsy in a Dress!

Little Betsy wore a dress for the first time to her visit to Dr. Warren yesterday. She looked absolutely adorable and she was very good at her appointment--she slept through the whole thing.

Betsy Gets to Wear Clothes!!!

Because Betsy was jaundiced at birth, for the last week we have had to keep her in only a diaper in her bassinet near a window so that she could get some sunlight. She had an appointment with Uncle Tommy this morning and no more jaundice!

Here's a picture of Betsy on the way to see Uncle Tommy:

Just the Two of Us

Peter went back to work today and both Betsy and I missed him so so much!!! I snapped some pictures of them saying goodbye this morning and it nearly brought me to tears.

Morning Time with Betsy Is the Best

Morning time is my favorite time with little Betsy. She is wide awake and makes adorable faces and entertains us so much. Once 10 am hits she usually begins her nap that lasts most of the day. Here are some pics of B this morning.
