Christmas is Coming!

We had a nice weekend. On Saturday we took Betsy to meet her new friend Kate who was in town from Raleigh then we did some last minute shopping. Yesterday we went to Celebration in the Oaks with Lucy and Conor. Betsy is really starting to smile and laugh all the time now. She's also scooting all over her crib in the middle of the night. I can't wait till Christmas morning with our baby!

Lots of Adventures

Betsy and I visited Daddy at his office last Friday; I think she was a hit!


On Sunday we went to Festivus and Betsy rode around in an infant carrier on Daddy's chest.


On Monday we went to the Park and played with Reed and Lauren.

Betsy & Mommy All About Town

Tuesday we went to Snuggles & Struggles then we went to visit Krista and Lauren. On Wednesday we visited Papa Vic at his office then Betsy and Lauren had their pictures taken with Santa. Betsy slept through the whole thing. Then we had lunch with Krista, Lauren, Jessica, and Reed. Thursday we went to baby yoga at Wild Lotus; Betsy really liked it! Today we visited Daddy at his office. What a week!

Betsy and Her Pals

Betsy was baptized yesterday and she spent lots of time with cousin Charlie and her two best girlfriends, Lucy and Lauren. Betsy was so good during her Baptism and didn't cry at all, even when the holy water was poured on her head. It was freezing yesterday and chilly in the church so I thought she would freak out, but she didn't!

Back to Work for Daddy

Having Peter home for four days in a row was so wonderful. Betsy and I were both out of sorts today since he wasn't around. Betsy cried most of the day--I guess she really missed her Daddy!

Happy Thanksgiving

Betsy enjoyed her first visit to Vacherie yesterday and had a wonderful first Thanksgiving. Today she watched football with Daddy and Uncle Beau. I, of course, took many, many photos. Here are a few:

Ouch!

Poor little boo had her 8 week shots yesterday and it was utterly heartbreaking. When Betsy started crying I had to cry too! Luckily Momma Lady spent the day comforting her and making everything better.

Today we had Snuggles and Struggles and learned lots of neat things and met even more babies and mommies. Then Beth and Walker came over and had lunch and we walked at Audubon Park. It was so cold so little B was all snuggled up in her big pink blanket. Now she is passed out. It was quite a day!

Last week we hit the mall for the first time and Betsy met Lauren. Betsy usually loves riding in her stroller, but she wasn't too thrilled with the fact that we were stopping constantly. Overall she was quite a trooper though!

Out and About

Yesterday we went to visit Jama and Pa and they couldn't believe how much Betsy has grown. Today we went to Snuggles and Struggles at Children's Hospital. Betsy was fascinated by all of the babies there, especially Walker Gearheard (Beth's baby)--they even held hands. I forgot my camera so I didn't catch it, but Beth may have captured the moment. After S and S we went to Whole Foods for lunch. Betsy had a blast!

Betsy Loves PJ's and Her Aunties

Betsy is now sleeping in her crib and is sleeping so much better--her Mommy and Daddy are thrilled! This weekend Betsy had her first shopping experience; we went to Scriptura and Little Laughter with Aunt Attie. Saturday night Aunt Katie and Uncle Peter came over to watch the LSU game.

Last week we were spoiled because we spent nearly every day with Aunt Attie. Betsy has spent lots of time walking to and sitting outside of PJ's and she loves it. Next week Attie starts her new job and no more morning coffee and afternoon coffee walks. Booooo!!!

9 Pounder

Betsy went to see Uncle Tommy yesterday and she now weighs 9 pounds!!! She has outgrown her tiny clothes and now can fit into the many, many outfits that fill her closet. Today was a big day because a photographer came over to take pictures of little B. She was good most of the time, but by the third wardrobe change she was over it. Next week she can finally go out in public so we have a full week planned. We're both really excited!!!

Growing Up Fast

Over the past few days Betsy has debuted some new tricks: pulling my hair, holding a rattle, and lifting her head up for several seconds. We are so proud! Last night she slept in her crib. She slept pretty well (at one point she slept for 2 hours in a row!), but I was mesmerized by her baby monitor. We have a lot to do this week: two dr. appointments for Betsy and a photographer is coming over on Thursday to take pics of B.
