BRRRRRR

It was 34 degrees when B and I woke up. It's so cold. Today is sunny, but the rest of the week will be rainy. Yuck.

We had a nice weekend. Saturday was nasty so we mostly stayed inside. We all cuddled up and watched movies and hung out. Yesterday Aunt Attie and I took B on a walk and had coffee with Amanda. We had to bundle little Betsy up. Later we had lunch (Daddy's first time eating at a restaurant with B and she was so good--she slept the whole time) and did some errands on the westbank. Betsy slept through the night both Friday and Saturday, but she got up today at 5. Luckily she went back to sleep at 7 until 9 then played in her bed until 930. We are going to get ready to have lunch with Papa Vic and Bee. Bye!

Here Comes the Sun

It's been so rainy and dreary lately that when the sun came out yesterday we were so thrilled! On Tuesday we went to Snuggles & Struggles. When we first started Betsy and her pals were the runts of the group. Now they are the older babies and there are lots of tiny, new babies. Babies graduate from S&S at six months--we're going to be so sad to leave.

Yesterday Betsy went to see Dr. Warren. It looks like her surgery will probably be within the next few months. Nothing new to report; we go back to see him in two months.

It's another beautiful day today so we finally get to go walk in the park. Yay!

Moving On

We were all really down following the Saints game on Sunday, but we're reflecting on what a great season they had. Next year will be the Black and Gold Super Bowl!

Last week was rainy and gross so we spent most of our time indoors. On Friday night Betsy slept through the night for the first time then did it again on Saturday and last night. It's amazing how great getting 8 hours of sleep makes me feel! Betsy is able to grab toys, bibs, and blankets and put them in her mouth, which makes her very happy. She is also able to grab her feet.

Yesterday we went to see Uncle Tommy and Betsy weighs 13 pounds, 12 ounces and is 24.5 inches long. She's now in the 50th percentile for height and weight. She went from not being on the growth chart to the 2nd percentile to the 10th to the 25th and now the 50th. Our little preemie has caught up!

Go Saints!

We had an action packed weekend. On Friday Marme and Tim babysat Betsy. On Saturday Daddy took little B to Baton Rouge for cousin Charlie's first birthday party. I had a cooking class on Saturday--"How to Make Your Own Baby Food"--it was informative and fun. On Saturday night Aunt Katie and Uncle Peter came over for the Saints game. Betsy slept through the entire game; she would open her eyes briefly when Daddy and Uncle Peter would scream or jump up and down. Yesterday we went on a walk with Daddy, Uncle Peter, and Lola to CCs and met up with Aunt Attie and Uncle Beau. Then later we went to the Zoo--Betsy's first trip. She slept a lot, but when she woke up she looked very interested. Last night she slept from 9 until 6!!!! That is a record for our baby. I slept for 8 hours straight and it's amazing how great it feels to sleep like a normal person. Let's hope this keeps up!

Busy Girls

Now that the holidays are over with Betsy and I are getting back to our old routine--Snuggles & Struggles on Tuesdays, Wednesdays with Krista & Lauren, and playgroup on Thursdays. At the end of the month we'll start Gym Rompers. We're also walking at the Park a few days a week. We are very busy girls!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Our holidays were great. Betsy is doing lots of great tricks--cooing up a storm and today she rolled over for the first time!!! We had so much fun spending time with family and friends. Here are some pictures of little B.

Christmas is Coming!

We had a nice weekend. On Saturday we took Betsy to meet her new friend Kate who was in town from Raleigh then we did some last minute shopping. Yesterday we went to Celebration in the Oaks with Lucy and Conor. Betsy is really starting to smile and laugh all the time now. She's also scooting all over her crib in the middle of the night. I can't wait till Christmas morning with our baby!

Lots of Adventures

Betsy and I visited Daddy at his office last Friday; I think she was a hit!


On Sunday we went to Festivus and Betsy rode around in an infant carrier on Daddy's chest.


On Monday we went to the Park and played with Reed and Lauren.

Betsy & Mommy All About Town

Tuesday we went to Snuggles & Struggles then we went to visit Krista and Lauren. On Wednesday we visited Papa Vic at his office then Betsy and Lauren had their pictures taken with Santa. Betsy slept through the whole thing. Then we had lunch with Krista, Lauren, Jessica, and Reed. Thursday we went to baby yoga at Wild Lotus; Betsy really liked it! Today we visited Daddy at his office. What a week!

Betsy and Her Pals

Betsy was baptized yesterday and she spent lots of time with cousin Charlie and her two best girlfriends, Lucy and Lauren. Betsy was so good during her Baptism and didn't cry at all, even when the holy water was poured on her head. It was freezing yesterday and chilly in the church so I thought she would freak out, but she didn't!
